SEL4i research team took part at the 9th ENSEC Conference in Crete, Chania (Greece), with the theme Social Emotional Learning for Lifetime Achievement.
The ENSEC Conference is an opportunity to spend three days collaborating on common research interests in promoting Social and Emotional Learning. Scholars from Europe, USA, and Australia participated in the meeting. Distinguished speakers will address the latest research on SEL and its impact on our lives. SEL4i research Team shared their projects in order to widen the horizon in social emotional implementation and promote exchange of thoughts and reflective dialogue.
Amongst the main keynote speakers, there were: Eve Oberle Associate Professor, The University of British Columbia, Canada, Kimberly Schonert-Reichl, Professor, University of Illinois Chicago, USA, Ed Dunkelblau, Academy for SEL in Schools and many more.
The research group had two presentations on the slate. The first one was about an innovative EU project “SEL4@ll” which main goal is helping teenager develop their social, emotional, prosocial and cognitive skills through the implementation of a serious game. The presentation was met with interest and sparked curiosity in the audience and received a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from the attendees.
The second presentation was focused on the innovative SEL approach designed by the SEL4I team about new, groundbreaking ways of connecting learning with SEL, through a vision that goes beyond the “program” mindset at school.
The presentation, as well as the previous one, stimulated questions and interest in the audience, due to the fact that the approach is structured also to foster SEL and inclusion at international level.
